What Was Built Here
Across the wider service area, houses run from 1953 to 2005 with a median around 1975, and most of that stock is 1960s-70s construction. Country Club sits later than that curve - its homes cluster around 1987. That's not a small gap. A house built in 1987 was framed to a different code than one built in 1965, and the garage that came with it reflects that: wider single-car openings gave way to double-car bays, and extension-spring setups on a pulley were mostly phased out in favor of torsion springs mounted on a shaft above the door. If your house here still has the original door, it's a steel or aluminum sectional, not the older wood panel you'd find on the 60s-era streets closer to the coast. Getting Here
We run out of Fort Lauderdale, and Country Club is about 17 miles from there - figure that into scheduling, especially for same-day calls. The mild temperate climate here means we're not fighting the freeze-thaw cycles that crack door panels in colder states, so most of what fails is wear and cycle count, not weather damage. That's a small mercy, but it's a real one: a spring here dies from age and use, not from a hard winter.
